We will be conducting maintenance on network services around 9am EDT on Tuesday, 28 June 2011 to upgrade network services to the newest available stable version. Services will be offline for the upgrade but this should take no more than a few minutes. No registrations should be affected.
As part of the upgrade, we will be aliasing /ns sendpass
to /ns resetpass
so /ns sendpass
works as expected, even with the encrypted services passwords.
Months in the making, we have finally launched our redesigned site. We hope that this site will be more useful to current and prospective users.
In the near future, we're planning to roll out further enhancements:
If you have any further recommendations for the site or if you have any issues, please let us know via the forum.
bEnnox replaced zero.dk.eu.synirc.net with unity.dk.eu.synirc.net in April. unity.dk.eu.synirc.net is a much newer server and supports IPv6 which zero did not.
Our test link downtown.tx.us.synirc.net, donated by Asus, has passed the test link process and has become our newest full link. Congratulations!
Our test link nightmare.uk.eu.synirc.net, donated by Shadows, has passed the test link process and has become our newest full link. Congratulations!
To improve our coverage in North America and Europe, we have accepted test links for downtown.tx.us.synirc.net in Texas, USA, donated by Asus, and nightmare.uk.eu.synirc.net in the United Kingdom, donated by Shadows.
Due to issues with the provider, nightmare.ca.us.synirc.net has failed the test link process and will be delinked within the next few days.
To improve our quality of service in North America, we have accepted nightmare.ca.us.synirc.net as a test link, graciously donated by Shadows. This server is based in California, USA.
moonlight.se.eu.synirc.net, donated by Kottizen, has passed the test link process and has become our newest full link. Congratulations!
We will be conducting maintenance on network services around 11am EDT on Saturday, 06 November to improve security. Services will be offline for up to (but no more than) five to ten minutes. No registrations should be affected.
As a result of these changes, /ns sendpass
(and the associated staff-only command /ns getpass
) will no longer work. If you have forgotten your password, you will instead use /ns resetpass
to have a reset code emailed to you.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me personally via the private message function of our forums. You can also speak with network staff in our #help channel.
(Note: This was originally scheduled for 30 October but did not happen as planned.)
